Project Description
Cotommatae 1810
It took four years of very careful restoration and hard work to have the building renovated and adapts itself to its new functioning. It became a characteristic “boutique Hotel” which offers comfort, relaxation and pleasure. Natural materials were used, the unique architectural elements were maintained, like the works of art of the ceilings of both the Hall and the Drawing room, the wooden walls and partitions, the roofs and floors made of chestnut. Special care was given to the details and especially to a rich home made breakfast.
Hydra is one of the most secluded and picturesque islands of Greece, a preferred retreat both cosmopolitan and tranquil. Located in the Saronic Gulf, just a 2-hour boat trip from Athens, and just across the Peloponeese, the island enjoys guests all year round. A pedestrian island, beautiful in spring time and with wonderful beaches to explore during the summer, rich in history and with plenty cultural events annually, the Hydra island is a “must see’ when in Greece.
